NOVEL HIGH-SALINITY WATER TREATMENT AND CONCENTRATION TECHNOLOGY
Our industrial and innovative partner company, H2Origins®, has developed a novel and patented technology, known as Air-Driven Separation System - ADSS, for:
• Seawater and high-salinity water desalination.
• Brine concentration and disposal minimization.
• Zero-Liquid Discharge (ZLD).
• Oil and gas fracking wastewaters treatment.
• Other difficult applications.
The unique, non-membrane, non-thermal evaporation technology is capable of separating ionic salt constituents in a highly saline solution by injecting compressed air into incoming water feed. Unlike other small particle separation technologies, high-pressures, exotic materials or complex machining are not required.
Unlike current membrane or thermal desalination processes, the ADSS operates at feed pressures as low as 6-7 bar, requires little or no pretreatment or dosing chemicals, which greatly simplifies the plant design, construction and operation. This results in substantial reductions in energy consumption to about half of that achieved by SWRO or MED, and consequently minimization of the total cost of water production.
